Televisa, Cris Morena, RGB Ink Strategic Alliance

BUENOS AIRES, October 9: Televisa has closed a three-year
deal with Argentina’s Cris Morena Group (CMG) and RGB Entertainment for the
creation, production and distribution of content for family audiences.

“We’re very pleased to have closed this deal with CMG and
RGB Entertainment, two of the most important Spanish content creators,” said José
Antonio Bastón, the corporate VP of television at Grupo Televisa. “This
deal is part Televisa’s new expansion plan in the international market and
looks to provide innovative multiplatform content for our clients around the
world. Thanks to this alliance, stations around the world will be able to have
a broad offering of family programs, developed with a platform that allows for
exploitation beyond the screen.”

The deal’s main objective is to develop original content and
exploit it in the international market, including sales of Argentinean and/or
Mexican finished versions, as well as format sales, taking advantage of
licensing and new-media opportunities. Casi ángeles and B&B are the first two series involved in the deal. Televisa will
distribute these productions to clients around the world through its
international division.

“We’re very happy with this decision, since we’ve been
working together in almost all our formats, we’re very satisfied with the
results,” said Cris
Morena, the founder and CEO of Cris Morena Group. “As independent producers,
we’ve managed a strong consolidation in the international market; and now we
start a new phase with Televisa, which makes me very proud.”

“It’s a very good opportunity for the international
development of our content and it’s a challenge because we’re not only going to
think about the Argentinean idiosyncrasy, but we’re also going to produce in
any part of the world and in any language,” added Víctor González, a partner at
RGB Entertainment.
