TORONTO: A second season of the live-action series My Babysitter’s a Vampire has been greenlit by Canada’s TELETOON to premiere in 2012.

Production of the 13-episode season will begin in September. The series will be in both English and French, following the success of the 2008 original movie and the first season of the live-action series produced by Fresh TV.

The My Babysitter’s a Vampire series was developed by Fresh TV and FremantleMedia Enterprises, in association with TELETOON Canada.

My Babysitter’s a Vampire is an amazing, fairy-tale story in the world of television production,” said Carole Bonneau, the VP of programming at TELETOON. “It has become a smash success, with Disney also airing it within the U.S. market during its prime-time lineup. It truly is an exciting time at TELETOON and we cannot wait for fans to see what the series has in store.”
