TELETOON in Cross-Platform Healthy Lifestyle Initiative for Kids

TORONTO, September 14:
TELETOON has teamed up with General Mills’ Fruity Cheerios cereal to launch
GO!, a three-month, cross-platform initiative aimed at teaching kids about
healthy lifestyle choices.

The initiative launched
September 4 and will continue until December 3. GO! will incorporate both
on-air and online components to help provide children with a fun way to learn
about healthy food choices, exercise and activity. Kids can visit the GO! micro
site at teletoon.com to take part in interactive surveys and quizzes. As part
of the initiative, a new multiple-choice question will be posted online each
Monday, and the final results will be shown on-air in specially branded
promotional spots that will roll out through the following week. Visitors to
the site will also be challenged by suggestions to take part in healthy living
activities such as active play and food preparation.

Additionally, specially
designed characters, with one comprised entirely of Fruity Cheerios ‘O’s’ and
two formed from summer and winter sports equipment, will be featured during
each of the three promotional months.
