Telemundo to Distribute Bandeirantes’ HD Telenovela

LAS VEGAS, January 30:
Telemundo Internacional has secured a deal to distribute Bandeirantes’
first-ever HD telenovela, Dance Dance Dance, excluding Brazil and parts of Asia.

Dance Dance Dance is a romantic musical story, and is the first
telenovela to be produced in HD for Bandeirantes. The show is written by novela
author Juana Uribe, who has penned many novela hits and was also responsible
for programming Betty la Fea in
Colombia.

Telemundo Communications
Group’s president, Don Browne,
commented: “Telemundo Internacional’s growing success is a clear result of our
commitment to a business strategy of producing our own content, which has
allowed us to be successful in the U.S. and around the world. Thanks to this
strategy, in only four years Telemundo has become the second most important
provider of Spanish-language content in the world.”

“Telemundo Internacional
has increased the network’s presence dramatically in the international market,”
added Marcos Santana, the president of Telemundo Internacional. “Our sales have
soared in Asia and Europe, exceeding more than 30 percent over last year with
over 35,500 hours of Telemundo’s programs distributed globally.”
