Telescreen Brings Cocaban’s Dibo to Scandinavia, Eastern Europe

SEOUL,
April 18: Dutch distributor Telescreen has expanded its current agreement with
Cocaban in Korea for its 3-D CGI-animated property Dibo the Giftdragon, which now includes all
the media rights in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe in addition to the Benelux
region.

Under the new agreement, Telescreen will represent the complete Dibo licensing program,
including television broadcast and home-video distribution as well as all
merchandise product categories for the animated property in Scandinavia and
Eastern Europe. Dibo is a creation of Korean-based independent outfit OCON
Animation Studios.

Telescreen has already inked deals for Dibo in the Benelux
region, with Nickelodeon licensing the TV rights and CNR acquiring the
home-video rights.

"The
beautifully animated 3-D CGI series Dibo the
Giftdragon
is enchanting and pure educational fun for kids of age 2 to 5 and their
parents,” said Sjoerd Raemakers, the director of commercial affairs for
Telescreen. “It will be an absolute pleasure to share this wonderful property
with the Nordic and Eastern European market and we strongly believe that
millions of children here will fall madly in love with the gracious gift
dragon, as he is the big brother that kids dream about.”

“We are pleased to expand our cooperation with
Telescreen, who is an honest and well-experienced company to exploit
entertainment properties,” added Tony Kim, the founder and CEO of Cocaban Co. “We are excited to have our big friendly
purple dragon exploring Eastern Europe and Scandinavia under
the wings of Telescreen.”
