Telepool Secures Sales at MIPCOM

MUNICH, October 5: Telepool has landed a range of deals on offerings at MIPCOM, including event movies, feature films, series, documentaries and formats.

 

The action-adventure film Hunt for the Amber Room (Charlemagne Code III), a Dreamtool production starring Kai Wiesinger and Bettina Zimmermann, was presold to RAI Cinema for Italy and Telecinco for Spain. The prequels The Charlemagne Code and The Spear of Destiny went to French Canada’s Historia. Germany’s best-selling action series Alarm for Cobra 11 seasons 9 to 14 were picked up by CCTV in China and seasons 12 to 14 went to the Big RTL Thrill channel in India. Alarm for Cobra 11 producers Action Concept broke into the U.S. market with MEK 8, licensed to V-Me.
 
The third season of the award-winning medical comedy Doctor’s Diary sold to Spain’s Telecinco. The Teamworx two-part drama Shades of Happiness was picked up by South Korea’s KBS and Sweden’s SVT. The UFA bible thriller The Golgotha Files went to France’s M6, while the TV doc Faces of Islam was picked up by Indonesia’s Metro TV News. On the factual front, the global food scandal doc Taste the Waste was sold to Radio-Canada.
