MIAMI: Telemundo has licensed the broadcast rights for a number of animated features from Disney-Pixar, including Finding Nemo and Toy Story.

The deal sees ten films from the Disney-Pixar catalogue heading to Telemundo for U.S. Spanish-language audiences starting in October. The first film to debut under the deal is the Academy Award-winning animated feature The Incredibles, to air October 2. Other animated films set for Telemundo include Toy Story and Toy Story 2, A Bug’s Life, Up, Cars, WALL-E and Monsters, Inc.

“Hispanics make up one-quarter of the audiences that attend animated films,” said Joshua Mintz, the senior executive VP of Telemundo Entertainment. “We are proud to be able to bring the very best in animation to our audience. This new and exciting deal will allow our audiences to watch some of their favorite Disney-Pixar productions in the comfort of their homes, in addition to the high-quality original productions they have come to love and expect from Telemundo.”
