Telemundo Internacional Eyes Eastern European Expansion

MIAMI, June 18: Telemundo Internacional is heading to DISCOP
this week to further build its presence in Europe, where the distributor
already has more than 50 shows on the air.

In Russia, the Domanshny network is securing shares of more
than 50 percent for the novela Liberty,
while in Georgia, Second Chance has
reached a share of 60 percent, with similar results in Croatia, Slovenia, the
Czech Republic and Poland. White’s Widow is the number one soap opera in its time slot during the weekends in
Lithuania, and Looking for Dad
obtained more than a 70-percent share on BTV in Bulgaria and won its time slot
on Acasa TV in Romania.

At DISCOP, key titles include Grains of Love, an original story from the acclaimed writer Julio
Jimenez (Hidden Passion, Second Chance); Sweet Secret, with
Carlos Ponce and Genesis Rodriguez; 4 lives…for love; and two novelas produced by Televisión Nacional de
Chile: Maria’s Heart and Someone
is Watching.
