Telefilm, Rogers Group Renew Public-Private Partnership

MONTREAL, August 15: The
partnership agreement between Telefilm Canada and the Rogers Group of Funds has
been renewed until 2011, with a total budget of C$4.5 million to provide
financing for feature-length documentaries.

The Theatrical Documentary
Program supports projects with budgets of $750,000-plus during their production
and post-production stages. The companies are committed to financing up to
three English-language and two French-language projects, with the C$1.5 million
in resources for 2008-2009 to be allocated as two-thirds and one-third,
respectively.

"Telefilm Canada is
proud to renew its partnership with the Rogers Group of Funds," said Wayne
Clarkson, the executive director of Telefilm Canada. “This collaboration
encourages innovation and emerging documentary filmmakers by helping to bring
their vision to the big screen."

executive director of the Rogers Group of Funds. “Both organizations are
dedicated to supporting the documentary filmmaking industry and we are
confident that together this program will uncover interesting and engaging
projects.”
