Telefe’s Montecristo Gets Italian Adaptation

BUENOS AIRES: Mediaset’s Italian treatment of the Telefe International novela Montecristo is set for a launch on October 1 on Canale 5.

Under the local title Un amore, una vedetta, the show will air weekly in prime time. Anna Valle, Alessandro Preziosi and Lorenzo Flaherty star in the adaptation. The original version of Montecristo has been sold to more than 30 countries. Its format has been adapted in Chile, Mexico, Colombia, Russia and Portugal.

The telenovela follows a young man who had it all—love, a future, family, success—until betrayal turned his life into a living hell. A story of intrigue, suspense and revenge unfolds.
