Telefe Lines Up DISCOP Slate

BUENOS AIRES: Telefe International is headed to Budapest for DISCOP with the highlights The One, a telenovela, and A Year to Remember, a romantic comedy, leading off its slate.

The One is a prime-time telenovela produced by Telefe and El Arbol. Montecristo‘s Pablo Echarri and Paola Krum star in the novela, which is an idea from Adriana Lorenzon, who is also the screenwriter. The show tells the story of an arrogant and ambitious lawyer who wins a trial and is awarded a trip to Spain, which changes his life forever.

The romantic comedy A Year to Remember is from the creator of The Successful Mr. and Mrs. Pells and Wags, Love for the Game. It is produced by Telefe, Underground and Endemol. The story follows a woman who is unhappily married. After a miracle, she gets to go back in time one year to have an opportunity to do things differently.

Also on Telefe’s roster of DISCOP highlights is Superclumsy, a comedy for children and teens. Based on an original idea by Tomas Yankelevich, Superclumsy features Candel Vetrano and Pablo Martinez, who co-starred in the hit teen telenovela TeenAngels. The series centers on a teenage super heroine who dreams about three things: to be a singer, make her neighbor fall in love with her and to save the world.

The series 80’s Crush is the story of a man who tries to recover the sense of life through his teenage fantasies. It stars Germán Palacios, Florencia Raggi, Adriana Brodsky, Susana Romero, Silvia Pérez, Silvia Peyrou and Noemi Alan.

The mini-series Everybody Against Juan is produced by Rosstoc, Farfan and FOX Television Studios. The cast features Gastón Pauls, Sebastián de Caro, Mercedes Oviedo, Ezequiel Castellani and Oscar Nuñez. The show tells the story of an actor who was famous as a teen in the mid-90s. He is trying to restart his career 15 years later.
