Tek Gear Unveils Online B2B Marketplace

The Canadian tech company Tek Gear is coming to MIPCOM for the first time with plans to unveil its new online marketplace for licensing content.

Tony Havelka, the president of Tek Gear, describes the platform, VID, as “the only B2B marketplace designed with the intention of enormously simplifying the buying and selling of episodic content from producers to streaming services of their choice.” He explains that VID is meant to “literally make the licensing of episodic content as simple as a click of a button,” and that it gives content providers “a simple and easy gateway to putting their content in front of any and all audiences without the usual lengthy difficulties. VID streamlines the process, effortlessly converting interest into revenue.”

He noted, “The number of new streaming services is estimated to grow 53 percent over the next 12 months. We created VID because the flood of streaming services is increasing and placing more demand on distributors. VID speeds up and automates streaming licensing, early in the sale cycle, while enhancing the distributor’s essential role in the licensing process. We are here attending MIPCOM to find key providers, producers and distributors that are feeling the pressures of trying to keep up with this growing demand. They can try out VID, risk-free, with as little as the first six episodes of catalog content to see how VID instantly reduces the workload and delivers immediate sales and revenue. Sit back and let VID do the work. Once your content is ready for licensing, VID takes over and automates the entire process.”
