Target Secures U.S., U.K. Deals for Paranormal Series

NEW YORK, July 30: Target
Entertainment has brokered a deal with Travel Channel for the paranormal
entertainment brand Most Haunted
that includes the co-production of an original eight-episode U.S. version.

Travel Channel has picked
up season ten of 20 hour-long episodes of the series, which is produced by
Antix and broadcast in the U.K. on LIVING. Travel Channel will also co-produce
a U.S. version to air this fall, as well as a live two-part Most Haunted event that will be broadcast on October 10 from 8
a.m. to 3 a.m.

The U.S. formats of Most
Haunted
, which will also be
produced by Antix, have been co-commissioned by Travel Channel and Virgin Media
TV, the parent company of LIVING.

Ellen Lovejoy, the senior
VP of sales at Target Entertainment, said: “The success of Most Haunted has made the show a key brand for LIVING, Target
and now Travel Channel. The fact that original episodes will be produced in the
U.S., using U.S. locations, is really exciting. They are sure to be a hit
stateside and will appeal to LIVING’s core audience as well.”
