Talpa Highlights The Voice Of… Format

LAREN: The Voice of Holland recently launched to much success on RTL 4, and now Talpa Distribution is offering up the format to international buyers.

The Voice of… features four famous singers who offer their know-how to unknown talents to help transform them into the country’s next generation of pop stars. The off-screen pre-selections mean that only talented singers make it to the blind auditions. The show’s debut in Holland saw the second episode bring in 2.3 million viewers, with a channel share of 43.5 percent among the core audience of 20 to 49.

Further Talpa highlights for MIPCOM include Put a Ring on it!, which features wannabe brides taking matters into their own hands to get their man to ask for their hand in marriage. New Football Star offers young players with exceptional football skills the chance at a contract with the country’s most well-known club. Ten Ways to Turn You On scientifically finds out what really turns men and women on.

Other top formats on the Talpa slate are I Love My Country, which was recently commissioned in Belgium, Greece and Croatia, bringing the total number of countries now to more than 30; Dating in the Dark, which has a second season on air in the U.S. and the U.K. and new commissions in Australia, New Zealand and Romania; and Divided, recently commissioned in Turkey, Estonia and Slovenia, with the total number of countries that adapted the format at 20.
