PARIS, July 18: Following
last month’s DISCOP, Taffy Entertainment has completed several sales across
Eastern Europe, including a Latvian free-TV deal on The Fantastic Four.

Lithuania’s LNK obtained
the free-TV rights to the animated series Dr. Dog and The Fantastic Four. Pet Alien, a 3-D CGI-animated comedy series, has been picked
up by Ukrainian free-TV broadcaster 1+1. Croatian distributor Blitz Films
obtained the free-TV, pay-TV and home-video rights to the award-winning
CGI-animated Dive Olly Dive!
and SamSam series for former
Yugoslavian territories.

Additionally, Urania
picked up home-video rights to Dive Olly Dive! for both the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Casper’s
Scare School
, the new CGI-animated
series based on the classic character, has been picked up for home video by
S.D.T. for Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

“The Eastern European
markets are continuing to grow and we’re happy to be meeting their ever-growing
demand for quality children’s programming,” said Marie Conge, the senior VP of
international sales at Taffy Entertainment. “All of these new sales are for
brands that have already been successful in other territories, so we are
confident this trend will continue for our newest partners.”
