Syfy Unveils New Reality Block

NEW YORK: Following the success of its Wednesday night series Ghost Hunters and Destination Truth, Syfy is adding a new dedicated reality block to its schedule on Thursday nights.

Launching July 15 at 9 p.m., the block will be anchored by Mary Knows Best, chronicling the life of celebrated radio host and psychic Mary Occhino; and Paranormal Investigators. The block will also subsequently feature Beast Legends, which examines monsters of myth. The network has also announced a slate of reality projects in development, including Marcel’s Quantum Kitchen with Top Chef‘s molecular gastronomist Marcel Vigneron; Force of Nature, based on Ariel Towne, an average guy who just happens to be a Feng Shui master; and The Latimer Project, focusing on Jason Latimer, three-time World Champion of Magic and owner of Latimer Corp. Also on the slate are Mr. Impossible, about so-called "rogue inventor" Dezso Molnar, Paranormal Files, Face Off, The Dome Experiment and an untitled artifact search series.
