Sunset+Vine to Produce Magazine Show for America’s Cup

LONDON: A two-year commission sees Sunset+Vine serving as producer for the official TV magazine series for the America’s Cup and the America’s Cup World Series.

The programs will air weekly starting in July and will follow the America’s Cup World Series—a new sailing series held in locations in Europe, the U.S., Asia and Oceania leading up to the Louis Vuitton Cup, America’s Cup Challenger Series and the 34th America’s Cup Finals in 2013 in San Francisco. Sunset+Vine will produce 94 half-hours that cover all aspects of the competitions, including features on the teams from the competing nations, profiles of athletes taking part in the event, spotlights on the technology aboard the new yachts and the latest news on all upcoming events.

Jeff Foulser, Sunset+Vine’s chairman, said: “The America’s Cup is one of the most iconic events in international sport and we’re delighted to be producing such an exciting series of programs at this pivotal time in its history. The shows will be aimed at a sporting audience, not just sailing enthusiasts, and we hope to help create a new fan base in the lead up to the main event in 2013.

Foulser continued: “The new yacht designs, together with the demands of the weather and the sheer strength needed to control the new boats, is going to make for an extraordinary racing with some un-missable and unforgettable moments.”
