Sundance Channel Renews Iconoclasts

NEW YORK, January 17:
Sundance Channel has given the go-ahead to a third season of its original
series Iconoclasts, which is
slated to launch in October.

Iconoclasts puts a twist on the standard celebrity interview
program by pairing two leading creative innovators from the fields of film,
literature, architecture, fashion, food, music, and business. Set outside of a
studio at a location meaningful to one or both of the subjects, every pair of
“Iconoclasts” visit each other’s worlds to examine their creative process,
their inspirations, and their passions. Pairings for season two included filmmaker
Quentin Tarantino and singer/songwriter Fiona Apple; musician Paul Simon and
producer Lorne Michaels; and comedian Dave Chappelle and poet Maya Angelou.

The third season of Iconoclasts
will be produced by @radical.media
and directed by Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky, the team behind Brother’s
Keeper
and Metallica: Some Kind
of Monster.
Robert Redford will
serve as executive producer. Iconoclasts is produced in association with Grey Goose Entertainment and the
Conde Nast Media Group.
