Sundance Channel Bags Talk Show for Europe & Asia

NEW YORK: Rainbow Media has licensed the movie-industry-themed talk show In the House with Peter Bart & Peter Guber for its newly launched Sundance Channel in Europe and Asia.

In the House with Peter Bart & Peter Guber makes its international debut tomorrow, coming a week after its U.S. premiere on Encore. The 40×30-minute series, produced by Starz and RayV, features interviews and news stories by Bart and Guber with stars and filmmakers. Bart and Guber previously hosted AMC’s Sunday Morning Shootout, which featured candid conversations with a wide range of pop-culture personalities.

The first episode features Morgan Freeman discussing his new role as Nelson Mandela in the Clint Eastwood political drama Invictus. Also, fashion designer Tom Ford talks about his first film, A Single Man. Upcoming episodes feature Sigourney Weaver (Avatar) and Jeff Bridges (The Men Who Stare at Goats) and film director Rob Marshall (Nine).

“Sundance Channel embraces the depth and insider sensibility that Bart and Guber bring to their interviews with global movie icons,” said Harold Gronenthal, Rainbow Media’s senior VP and general manager of program acquisitions and international development. “These qualities, coupled with the world’s shared fascination about how the film industry works, make Inside the House with Peter Bart & Peter Guber a natural programming choice.”
