Former ProSiebenSat.1 Exec Lands at FremantleMedia

LONDON: Daniela Matei, who left ProSiebenSat.1 Group earlier this year, has been named CEO of Nordic, Eastern Europe and the Balkans at FremantleMedia, filling a newly created role at the company.

Matei, reporting to Simon Spalding, regional CEO for Europe and Asia Pacific, will oversee all of FremantleMedia’s development and production operations in countries in the Nordic, Eastern European and Balkan regions. This includes FremantleMedia’s production businesses in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Poland and Croatia, and existing format licensing operations in Norway, Russia, Czech Republic and Slovakia. Matei takes up the post on February 1.

Matei was most recently the senior VP of group production and development at ProSiebenSat.1. Prior to that she headed up production at SBS Broadcasting.
