Suits Gets Second-Season Order

NEW YORK: USA Network has greenlit season two of the new original lawyer series Suits, which premiered this summer, with season one’s finale to air September 8.

The series is shot in Toronto and stars Gabriel Macht (Love and Other Drugs), Patrick J. Adams (Lost), Rick Hoffman (Samantha Who), Gina Torres (Firefly), Sarah Rafferty (Brothers & Sisters) and Meghan Markle (CSI Miami). Season two will be comprised of 26 one-hour episodes. It follows a genius college dropout who passes the bar exam and is hired by one of New York City’s best lawyers.

Suits has made USA the most watched network Thursdays in the 10 p.m. time slot in all of television‚ broadcast or cable. The series is one of the network’s top ranked debut seasons of an original series in total viewers. Creator Aaron Korsh from Universal Cable Productions wrote the pilot and co-executive produces the series
