Subscriber Losses at ESPN, Disney Channel

BURBANK: ESPN's U.S. subscriber count has fallen by 7 million in the last two years, while Disney Channel’s has shrunk by 4 million.

In its fiscal 2015 10K regulatory filing, The Walt Disney Company reported that ESPN’s U.S. subscriber count was 92 million; in 2013 it was 99 million. The reach of the international ESPN channels is currently 127 million.

The reach of the U.S. Disney Channel was 99 million in 2013, that number is now 95 million. Subscribers to the international Disney Channels meanwhile rose from 172 million to 195 million. There were also gains in the global reach of Disney Junior and Disney XD.

ABC Family’s reach fell from 98 million to 93 million.
