HASSLOCH: The Studio100 properties Maya the Bee, Vicky the Viking, House of Anubis and Tabaluga & Co are to be featured as part of new rides at the Holiday Park amusement and adventure attraction in Hassloch, Southwest Germany.

Last November, Studio100’s theme-park division, Plopsa, purchased Holiday Park. New rides have been announced for the amusement center, including attractions based on the Maya the Bee property. Maya characters are to be featured in the new 12-meter-high free-fall tower The Maya Flower Tower, the frog carousel and the rail-riding arena Flip: The Grasshopper. The Adventures of Tabaluga, which features a 260-meter-long canal drive that was a 750,000 euro investment for the park, will feature the characters of Tabaluga & Co. The House of Anubis property is featured in the brand-new 70-meter-high Anubis Free Fall Tower.

Patrick Elmendorff, the managing director of Studio100 Media, commented, “It is our aim to offer high-quality family entertainment on every platform as well as television and digital media. Interacting with their personal heroes from these cult series such as Vicky the Viking or House of Anubis will be a unique and exciting experience for each fan.”

Approximately 3 million euros have been invested in the park since November 2010. A further 100 million euros will be invested into the German theme-park market within the next five years, with Plopsa planning to open an additional three parks in Germany. This new strategy has already yielded a 60-percent increase in visitors compared to the previous year.
