MUNICH: Studio 100 is heading to Brand Licensing Europe with a focus on three key properties: Maja the Bee, House of Anubis and Bumba.

Maja the Bee is a property from the ’70s, which has been redone in CGI, co-produced by Thunderbird Films and Studio 100 Animation in association with TF1 and ZDF. The series is set for a 2012 launch. Studio 100 is closing licensing deals for its classic line in the Benelux region, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic and many other European territories. Early licensing deals for the new version are being closed, as are TV sales, in France, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Finland, Turkey and Canada.

House of Anubis tells the story of a group of teenagers living together in a boarding house during the secondary school education. The tween series has found solid success in the Benelux region, Germany and Sweden, and Studio 100 has started production on a U.S. remake, which will be aired on Nickelodeon later this year. A full range of licenses and products are in place in Benelux and GAS countries, followed by the first launch of home-entertainment products in Scandinavia in the coming months.

Bumba is a preschool series, centered on a colorful clown, who takes viewers on circus adventures with his friends. Bumba and his friends speak a fantasy language of their own and are supported by a narrator. The initial launch of the preschool show was in the Benelux region in 2004. Spain followed, then Eastern Europe.
