Starz’s Film Roman Appoints New Head of Production

BURBANK: Dana Booton has been promoted from the VP of production for Starz Media’s Film Roman to the newly created role of general manager and head of production for the TV animation studio.

Having joined Film Roman in 2008, Booton was responsible in her previous role for the company’s current Marvel Entertainment production projects, including Ultimate Spider-Man, The Super Hero Squad Show and The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Prior to Film Roman, Booton founded Studio NM8 in 2002; the company produced a number of animation projects for Disney Channel, such as Daigundera, W.I.T.C.H. and A.T.O.M., as well as The Zula Patrol for PBS.

Chris Albrecht, the president and CEO of Starz, commented: "Dana has a proven track record of success and accomplishment in her time at Film Roman and the animation business during her career.
