Starz Presents New Animated Comedy

BEVERLY HILLS: Starz Media’s MIPCOM slate includes the new animated series Dan Vs., which is to make its debut on the soon-to-launch kids’ network The Hub.

Co-produced by Film Roman and The Hatchery, the series watches as Dan’s endless quest for justice leads him and his friends into adventures, misadventures and absolute catastrophes. Dan Vs. joins the family movie The Dog Who Saved Christmas Vacation and the reintroduced classic animated series The Berenstain Bears as additions to Starz Media’s lineup of animated and family-friendly offerings from MIPCOM buyers.

“There are lots of animated series in the international markets, but none out there now have the original humor or heart of Dan Vs. and so we feel sure it will play well in the international marketplace, especially to hard-to-reach teens,” said Gene George, Starz Media’s executive VP of worldwide distribution. “This is the rare comedy that will appeal to a wide international audience.”
