Starz Media and Tandem Redefine Relationship

CANNES, April 7: Starz Media and Tandem
Communications have restructured their existing programming representation
relationship, with Tandem overseeing worldwide television sales of several
Starz Media series and collections.

Beginning immediately and continuing through 2009,
Tandem will handle international sales of such collections as the
Fantasy/Adventure Collection, including Sands of Oblivion and four other titles, and the
Ladies Night Out Collection, including Queen Size and True Confessions of a
Hollywood Starlet
.
Furthermore, Tandem will represent the action-adventure series Painkiller
Jane
, as well as
any additional one-hour drama series announced through 2009.

Meanwhile, Starz Media is increasing the number of
titles for which it will oversee distribution as part of its effort to build an
internal sales team. Led by the new executive VP of worldwide distribution, Gene George, the recently forged sales team
will handle international sales of original movies, animated series and all
other future programming. Among the titles the company is representing are Dead
Space
, a new
horror/sci-fi movie produced in association with Electronic Arts; the Starz
Originals series Head Case and Hollywood Residential; documentaries such as Fog
City Mavericks

and Hollywood Goes Gaming; and the hit preschool animated series Wow! Wow!
Wubbzy!
, as well
as the Garfield
and Eloise
series, among others.

Tandem began representing several Starz Media
properties in 2006, when Starz acquired IDT Entertainment—now Starz
Media—and embarked on an aggressive expansion into international
production and distribution.
