StarHub Adds Two New Channels to Lineup

SINGAPORE: The K-Pop channel KMTV and the Mandarin-language kids’ channel momkids Asia are joining the StarHub lineup for viewers in Singapore.

Starting October 1, StarHub customers can watch KMTV, a 24-hour K-pop channel featuring music and entertainment programs. The service will be available in the original Korean language with Chinese subtitles.

momokids Asia is one of the top kids’ channels in Taiwan, targeting those under 7. Key programs include Momo Paradise, Momo DIY, Momo King and IQ Blog.

StarHub will offer a free viewing period for both channels from October 1 to 14.

“We’ve always believed in giving local viewers a good depth and breadth of quality content,” said Iris Wee, StarHub’s VP of home solutions. “KMTV is a terrific example, joining StarHub’s already strong offerings of Korean content while at the same time adding a new emphasis on Korean pop music. We are equally excited about bringing momokids Asia to Singapore and trust that local parents will welcome this convenient and entertaining educational tool to enhance their young children’s interest and understanding of the Chinese language.”
