STAR Names Chinese-Language Programming Chief

HONG KONG, December 11:
Cheah Chee Kong, better known as CheeK, has been appointed executive VP of
Chinese-language programming for STAR, based in Hong Kong and reporting to Laureen Ong, STAR's COO.

Effective January 5, CheeK
will be responsible for overseeing the development of STAR's Chinese-language
channels, including Xing Kong and Star Chinese Movies. He joins STAR from MTV
Japan, where he has served as the senior VP and creative director for creative
and content since 2006.

"CheeK's creative
talent and experience in creating and producing award winning films and
programs give him a unique skill set," said Ong. "He is a top-tier
Asian television executive who will be looked upon to create value at all
levels of our Chinese content business for the millions of STAR viewers across
Greater China."
