STAR India to Distribute New Sports Channels

MUMBAI, September 5: Nimbus Sports Broadcast has appointed
STAR India to exclusively distribute its upcoming bouquet of NEO sports
channels.

The first of the channels, the cricket-focused NEO Sports,
is set to be launched in the last quarter this year. This will be followed by
NEO Sports Plus, a sports entertainment channel, by the end of this year. STAR
India has exclusive distribution rights for these two channels till 2010 and
will also distribute any future sports channels from the NEO Sports stable.

Sameer Nair, the CEO of STAR Entertainment, India, noted,
“This deal underscores STAR’s commitment to distributing the most sought after
content to our viewers throughout India. The robust cricket assets to be
showcased on NEO Sports will ensure that our viewers can catch quality
broadcasts of their favorite sporting events. NEO’s stable of sports channels
will complement our existing bouquets, offering more breadth and depth to the
viewer.”

Nimbus Communications is involved in sport, filmed
entertainment, television and digital content. It is currently contracted to
exclusively handle ad sales of the ICC Champions Trophy 2006 and the ICC
Cricket World Cup 2007, and it markets the media rights of ICC events in South
Asia and sponsorship rights worldwide. It is also the producer of the world
feed of the ICC Champions Trophy 2006 and all international cricket to be
played in India till March 2010.
