Digiturk to Roll Out PVR Service

SAN FRANCISCO, September 5: The Turkish DTH platform
Digiturk plans to begin offering its subscribers high-definition digital video
recorders in the first half of next year, following an agreement with OpenTV.

The deployment of OpenTV's software and services is expected
to enable the platform to offer a range of digital television services to its
900,000 interactive subscribers. This will include enabling subscribers to
select, download, and store feature films and television shows directly on the
set-top box hard drive. Subscribers will also be able watch and record multiple
channels at the same time. Digiturk expects to initially deploy OpenTV's
software on Pace PVR set-top boxes, with Irdeto providing conditional access
security.

"Digiturk is proud to be the first mover in delivering
the most advanced and comprehensive digital services across our rapidly growing
pay-TV subscriber base," said Hatice Memiguven, the platform’s COO.
"With the support of OpenTV, we can provide our customers with the most
compelling television experience, and further increase our market penetration
and drive subscriber loyalty."
