STAR, HP Align for New Reality Show

HONG KONG: A new reality series for Channel [V] and Star World in Asia gives young creative talent the opportunity to use HP technology to create multimedia projects in the fields of art, design, music, film, fashion and publishing.

STAR and HP are teaming for HP SPACE, an 8×1-hour pan-Asian reality show. Contestants will be chosen through an audition process, kicking off August 24, through submissions posted on www.hpspace.com, while in China, contestants will be drawn from HP’s “My Computer My Stage” youth campaign. A total of 36 contestants will be called for live auditions in China, India and South East Asia, and then 12 finalists will be flown to Singapore to work with creative gurus from the worlds of design, film, advertising, music and art. The contestants will receive a new creative task each week, using HP technology, to be voted on by viewers. The winner will take home a $50,000 grand prize and will be given a job on the remake of cult anime classic Bubblegum Crisis in Australia.

The show premieres November 10 on Channel [V] in India, Southeast Asia, Mainland China and Taiwan and on November 11 on Star World in India, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
