LONDON, November 12: Sony
Pictures Television International (SPTI) has entered into an
electronic-sell-through distribution agreement with the DVD rental companies
Videoland and Movie MAX in the Benelux.

Sony Pictures’ library of
titles will be available for digital download to PC from Videoland’s and Movie
MAX’s online sites in Belgium, Luxemburg and the Netherlands.

Launching today, the
service enables users in the Benelux region to download Sony Pictures’ content
to their PCs, including blockbuster titles such as Spider-Man, Spider-Man 3 and Ghost Rider, starring Nicolas Cage. Classic films from the studio’s back catalogue will
also be offered, including Sense and Sensibility, Sleepless in Seattle and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.

Stuart Baxter, SPTI’s executive
VP of European distribution, commented:
“The number of people watching films online is growing exponentially and
consumers want a reliable and quality service from an established local
