Splendid Secures Rights for Content Film’s The Day

TORONTO: Splendid has picked up the German-speaking rights for Europe and Benelux to the post-apocalyptic war feature film The Day from Content Film, a division of Content Media.

The Day is directed by Doug Aarniokoski, written by Luke Passmore and produced by Guy A. Danella (The Fourth Kind). Content Film is representing international rights and Kevin Iwashina of Preferred Content is handling North American rights.

The Day stars Shawn Ashmore (X-Men trilogy), Ashley Bell (The Last Exorcism), Michael Eklund (The Divide), Cory Hardrict (Battle Los Angeles, Gran Torino), Dominic Monaghan (The Lord of the Rings, Lost) and Shannyn Sossamon (A Knight’s Tale, Rules of Attraction, 40 Days & 40 Nights). In the action thriller, a war against humanity rages, and five survivors are lost and on the run.
