NEW YORK: Spike TV has a number of non-scripted original pilots in development, with projects from producers such as SallyAnn Salsano (Jersey Shore) and Ben Silverman (Mob Wives).

The pilots are aimed at the network’s core 18 to 34 male audience, while also looking to expand to reach men 35 to 49. These include The Sheriff, centered on Tony Schiena, a law-enforcement official with more than 15 years of experience in the intelligence community. The show will go behind the scenes with Schiena and his team as they put their crime-fighting skills to use. Silverman, the founder and CEO of Electus, serves as producer.

From Salsano, behind hits such as Jersey Shore and Repo Games, comes Pawn Games. The show is set in an actual pawn shop, but is a game show that gives unsuspecting people a chance to win back their prized possessions they have just traded in for the money.

Hungry Men at Work focuses on chefs dealing with imposing situations to feed men who work in some of the most dangerous jobs on the planet. This includes feeding fireman as they battle wilderness wildfires or the workers out on isolated oil rigs in the Arctic. Hungry Men at Work will be hosted by the working-man’s chef Stretch.

World’s Worst Tenants features professional evictor Todd Howard as he brings viewers to the front door of outrageous renters. The show is produced by Barry Poznick and John Stevens of Zoo Productions.

Auction in My House features three deal hunters looking for their next big score. The series is based on the hit RDF Media format Secret Dealers and is produced by Zodiak USA.

The Hustler, produced by The Jay and Tony Show and RelativelyREAL, centers on Josh T. Ryans (Showtime’s Lock ‘N Load). Ryans prides himself on being the best salesman alive; to him, the art of the deal is what’s important. His challenge will be to outsell another top salesmen in their respective business.

"Each pilot showcases real, genuine men immersed in situations where the stakes are truly significant," said Sharon Levy, the executive VP of original series at Spike TV.  "We are thrilled to partner with some of the brightest minds in the industry to unearth some of these larger-than-life characters."
