NEW YORK: Spike TV has ordered a fourth season of the original series 1000 Ways to Die from Original Productions.

The fourth season, consisting of 13 episodes, will premiere in March 2012. The series features some of the most outrageous but true stories about those who have died in strange ways. Each episode offers fast-paced reenactments, dramatic witness testimonials, historical tidbits, scientific expert explanations and CGI effects reminiscent of classic comic books.

The show is one of the most watched original programs on Spike.com, as show-related videos garnered 2.4 million total video streams for the current season. Original Productions’ Thom Beers, Philip Segal and Tom McMahon are executive producers for the series, with Jeff Conroy serving as co-executive producer.
