NEW YORK: The sitcom The King of Queens, starring comedian Kevin James, is headed to Spike TV in 2011, then moving to TV Land in 2013.

Starting October 2011, Spike TV will broadcast two back-to-back episodes of the sitcom in prime time twice a week. The King of Queens will move to TV Land in 2013. The show stars James as Doug Heffernan, a likable deliveryman. His wife, Carrie Heffernan, is played by Leah Remini. Together, they explore the everyday complexities of life, love, family and marriage.

"This is such a relatable comedy and we are sure this show will continue to make both networks’ audiences laugh for many years to come," said Jaclyn R. Cohen, the senior VP of programming and acquisitions at TV Land, who brokered the deal for Spike and TV Land.
