Southern Star International Acquires New Animated Tween Series

SYDNEY, January 11:
Southern Star International has acquired the worldwide distribution rights to
the animated tween series G2G: Got to Go, a Canadian-Australian production for Nine Network.

The series, which will be
launched on the global market at MIPTV, is produced by the Australian
television production company Moody Street Kids and Canada’s March
Entertainment, with assistance from Film Victoria.

G2G: Got To Go chronicles the life of Maddie Marple-Macintosh, a
shy 12-year-old girl and the daughter of famous television stars who lives a
double life as an outspoken “Dear Abby” who writes an advice column for the
school blog.

“We are delighted to once
again be working with Moody Street Kids and to be distributing such a fabulous
program,” said Catherine Payne, the chief executive of Southern Star
International. “The tween audience
will embrace the series and the life of Maddie Marple-Macintosh.”

G2G is a series that girls all over the world will be
able to relate to,” said Gillian Carr, the executive producer of Moody Street
Kids. “With strong characters, a very distinctive look, humor and original
contemporary music we are able to get inside tween issues through the eyes of
our 12-year-old online blogger, Maddie.”
