South Park to Release First-Ever HD Episode Exclusively on Xbox

NEW YORK, March 5: The first high-definition episode from
Comedy Central’s hit animated series South Park is available through the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for viewing on the Xbox
360 platform, beginning today.

The episode, “Good Times With Weapons,” is available for
free for the next two weeks from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, home to more than
1,500 hours of entertainment content. In addition, Best Buy will offer free HD
DVDs of the episode with the purchase of any Xbox 360 console or HD DVD drive
from March 20 through April 3.

The Xbox promotion comes ahead of tomorrow night’s 11th
season kick off in the U.S. The episodes from the new season will be available
uncensored on Xbox LIVE beginning March 13. Seasons five through nine are
already available on Xbox LIVE, along with the movie South Park: Bigger,
Longer, Uncut.
