Sony Names New EVP of Marketing

CULVER CITY: Kim Hatamiya has been upped to executive VP of marketing for Sony Pictures Television, with oversight for the division worldwide.

Hatamiya will direct the development and strategic implementation of advertising, marketing, promotion and the media and client relations efforts for network, syndication, cable and new-media programming in the U.S. Hatamiya will also oversee corporate brand activities. Responsibilities include marketing for first-run and off-network syndication, prime-time and daytime series, TV movies and family entertainment on broadcast and cable networks and support of advertiser sales. The remit further includes SPT brands as they are marketed in the DVD market. Hatamiya continues to oversee all marketing activities outside of the U.S. for SPT, as well as the company’s distribution efforts, international networks and international production.
