Sling Media, Microsoft to Reveal Digital Strategies at nextMEDIA

TORONTO, May 24: Benjamin White, the chief creative officer of
the Sling Media Entertainment Group and Sean Love, the business development
manager of the media and entertainment group at Microsoft, will deliver
presentations on content development for Slingbox and Xbox LIVE Marketplace at
nextMEDIA: The Future of Digital Content.

nextMEDIA will take place from June 8-10 at the Fairmont
Banff Springs, in Alberta, Canada. White, formerly the VP of digital media for
MTV Networks, will make his presentation during an “Executive Download” session
on June 9. Love will deliver his presentation on June 10. The “Executive
Download” sessions are a series of back-to-back presentations by senior digital
media executives. As previously announced, Stacy Seltzer of Joost will deliver
an “Executive Download” on June 10.

In addition to presenting an overview of Slingbox’s
revolution capabilities, White will detail the company’s partnership and
content strategy as it moves forward. The Slingbox is a consumer electronics
product that enables consumers to watch their living room TV programming from
wherever they are and was awarded the prestigious Technology & Engineering
Emmy earlier this year. Prior to Sling Media, White was the VP of digital media
for MTV Networks and was responsible for managing the full scope of the MTV
Networks brand’s digital business including programming, production and product
development.

At his presentation, Love, who negotiates content deals for
Xbox LIVE Marketplace, will reveal Microsoft’s business strategies and outline
the vision behind Xbox LIVE, the premier service for online console gaming.

“Xbox LIVE and Slingbox are at the nexus of true convergence
between television, the Internet and mobile,” said Mark Greenspan, the director
of digital media for Achilles Media, the producers of the three-day event.
“This is an exciting opportunity for content producers attending nextMEDIA to
learn more about these innovative new platforms, their audiences, and the
content they are looking to acquire.”
