Skywriter Highlights New Live-Action Tween Series

TORONTO: On the Run is a new live-action adventure property from Skywriter Media & Entertainment Group that is based on Gordon Korman’s international bestselling book series of the same name.

The 26×30-minute show follows a brother and sister as they work to uncover the mystery behind their parents’ sudden disappearance. Daphne Ballon (Life with Derek, Baxter) is joining the project as showrunner. Skywriter’s Meghan Davies is developing the series, with Kevin Gillis, Margery Walshaw and Simon Walshaw as executive producers.

Kroman said of the series: "I’m so psyched to be working with Daphne Ballon and the Skywriter team to give On the Run its legs. Having seen the book series work its magic in the hands of millions of kids, I can’t wait to bring these stories to the screen."
