SingTel’s mio TV to Offer Al Jazeera English

SINGAPORE, February 26: Starting
March 1, Al Jazeera English, the Middle East-based English-language news and
current-affairs channel, will be available in Singapore via SingTel’s pay-TV
platform mio TV.

Under the exclusive deal, subscribers
to mio TV can also choose to watch Al Jazeera English streamed “live” on their
3G mobile phones in April.

Al Jazeera English
broadcasts from the Middle East to more than 100 million households worldwide.
The channel will be available on mio TV for a monthly subscription of S$5.35
per month or a 12-month subscription at S$4.28 per month. From April, the
channel will be available on 3G mobile phone via SingTel’s Ideas WAP portal for
S$3.21 per month or via pay-per-use access at S$0.54 per access. All prices are
inclusive of GST.
