Short Attention Scores NBCU Deal in Asia

VICTORIA, August 15:
Australia’s Short Attention has licensed a package of some 100 short films to
NBC Universal Global Networks in Asia.

The shorts run the gamut
from science fiction, thriller and crime to comedy and drama and hail from the
Australia Film Television Radio School (AFTRS). The package also includes
shorts from Tropfest Film Festival, the Sydney Film School and several
independent filmmakers. The films, totalling some 700 minutes, will air on SCI
FI Channel and Hallmark in the region as fillers.

Tony Martin, the manager
of Short Attention, said: "We are ecstatic to be working with such a
significant and reputable international broadcaster with this deal following
previously signed deals with NBC Universal’s new channel launches in Benelux
and also Poland and Romania. It's great that the program directors at NBC
Universal recognize the value and quality of our short films produced by such a
highly talented group of Australian directors and producers."
