Shine Closes Volume Deal with Chello Zone

LONDON: Shine International has secured a multi-territory deal for more than 65 hours of programming from its slate to air across 80 territories throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa on Chello Zone-owned channels Zone Reality and Extreme Sports Channel. 

The deal includes One Born Every Minute, an eight-episode observational documentary series that looks at the highs and lows in a maternity ward; The Family, a docu-series that looks at family life in the 21st century; and Conviction, which will air on one of Zone Reality’s EMEA feeds. Cheaters heads to Zone Reality Poland, while Ski Patrol and Around the World for Free head to Extreme Sports Channel’s feeds in France, Poland, the U.K. and Ireland. 

The deal was brokered by Lisa Higginson, who has been promoted to manager of international distribution for Central and Eastern Europe. Based at the company’s London office, Higginson reports to John Pollak, the executive VP of international distribution.
