Shed Media in Talks with Warner Bros.

LONDON: British production outfit Shed Media—parent company of Outright Distribution—is in sale talks with Warner Bros. Entertainment.

Reports indicate that Warner Bros. is discussing a £75 million price tag for the independent, which owns Shed Productions, Ricochet, Twenty Twenty, Wall to Wall, Shed Media US and Shed Media Scotland, in addition to Outright Distribution.

"The independent directors confirm that the company is in discussions with Warner Bros Entertainment, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Time Warner, working with certain members of Shed management," a Shed statement said. "There is no certainty that an offer will be made nor as to the terms on which any offer might be made."

Warner Bros. has been expanding its international production activities and is looking at acquiring or establishing outlets in major territories that will create locally produced versions of the studio’s shows as well as develop original content.
