Assistant VP, Content Distribution, MediaCorp

What are some of your top properties for MIPTV?
This year, we are presenting our latest documentaries Asian Diaspora – The Chinese and Designed By Love at MIPTV.  Asian Diaspora takes an intimate look at the global overseas Chinese community, along the themes of Chinese in Power, with Wealth, with Influence, and in Style. It is an exciting project shot on high-definition in Russia, Cuba, the USA, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore and China. ‘Designed by love’ retells beautiful love stories in Asia that have shaped monuments and inspired creations. They are stories of everyday man, and are moving and a timely reminder that love can indeed provide the most masterful blueprint.
Other titles include winners from The Asian Pitch, a collaboration with NHK, such as A Farmer’s Struggle (from China), The Weaver’s Tale (from Philippines), and The Icemen : Angadias of India. All are original stories produced in high definition.

Why will these programs appeal to buyers?
From our experience, programmes with strong Asian elements appeal to international buyers. This presents a unique opportunity for MediaCorp because our strength lies in our ability to produce Asian content in English, enabling audiences everywhere to enjoy them.

What are your goals and expectations for MIPTV?
We hope to push and position ourselves as the premier Asian content provider at MIPTV, expanding both our documentaries and top-selling Chinese dramas into territories outside of Asia.
