MUNICH: There are a variety of programming genres that SevenOne International will be presenting in Cannes, including, among others, TV event movies.

The TV event William & Kate, commissioned by Lifetime Movie Network, portrays the real-life romance of Prince William and Kate Middleton. The action-adventure Isenhart features the first profiler tracking down serial killers in the Middle Ages. The thriller Vanished starts as a 17-year-old girl disappears without a trace. Rabbit Without Ears II is the sequel to one of the most successful German movies of all time. The mini-series Russian Roulette features a trip that becomes a nightmare after a woman’s son disappears.

In the way of movies, SevenOne is presenting the crime film High Society Murder VIII, in which Dr. Wendelin Winter is certain that little time remains to stop a murderer from committing more crimes. African Angel shows Dr. Maria Berkel starting a job at a hospital in a small African village, which is struck by an epidemic. Remember, I’ll Always Love You is based on Elizabeth George’s eponymous short story.

Series on offer include the new mafia dramedy Lilyhammer, starring Steven van Zandt of The Sopranos and Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band. The 5th Bow is a kids’ series about five brave adolescents who have it within their power to decipher the Magical Book of the Five Arches. Danni Lowinski, currently piloted in the U.S., features an extraordinary and unconventional lawyer. A second season of The Last Cop marks the return of police inspector and ’80s-style mach man Mick Brisgau. A third season of Hidden Defects is also on the way.

SevenOne has a slate of magazines series as well. Galileo Big Pictures is an expansion of the Galileo brand, with two-hour episodes that present the 50 most spectacular photographs on a special topic. Upcoming events include The Man with the Bassoon, based on the true story of Heinrich Bockelmann. Fateful Love: The Hunt for U864 centers on a woman who is part of the Nazi resistance and is ordered to spy on a German naval officer, whom she winds up falling for. What Animals Want is a family offering about a dog and pig who are blessed with the gift of speech. The Revenge of the Traveling Whore is a follow up to The Whore, which was Sat.1’s most successful movie of all time.
