NEW YORK: Anita Stewart is to become the new senior VP of corporate partnerships at Sesame Workshop.

Stewart joined the company in 2003 and is responsible for developing and securing strategic corporate alliances and sponsorship programs for Sesame Workshop’s signature children’s series, including Sesame Street, in the U.S. She is looking for opportunities for co-productions throughout the world, including Brazil, China, South Africa, Mexico, Nigeria and India. Stewart oversees corporate funding for outreach partnerships as well. In her new role, Stewart is charged with developing innovative multimedia, multinational corporate partnerships across all platforms.

"Anita has been extremely successful in securing corporate funding in today’s challenging economic climate to help support Sesame’s mission of delivering educational resources to all children,” said Myung Kang-Huneke, the chief of staff at Sesame Workshop to whom Stewart will report. “Her extensive experience and passion for identifying corporations with similar missions and visions has made for a successful model of how corporate responsibility, in the United States and around the world, adds to the successes of nonprofit organizations like Sesame Workshop.”
