NEW YORK: Centered on the furry blue muppet character of Grover, the brand-new series Super Grover 2.0 is one of three new shows in development that Sesame Workshop will be presenting at MIPCOM.

The 13×6-minute series follows Grover as he observes, questions, investigates and reports, finding solutions to problems across the planet. Super Grover 2.0 will also be featured as a segment on Sesame Street in the U.S. this September.

Also in development is Count TV, a 26×5-minute show that features Count von Count as he introduces children to the number of the day. Each episode begins and ends with an animated Bert and Ernie singing and tap dancing about the number of the day.

Rounding out the development slate is Goodnight, Elmo. The 52×5-minute series features Elmo and his dad in their bedtime routine. Together, they dissolve into Sesame Street fairytales.

“Sesame Workshop prides itself on constantly experimenting with new formats and characters that will engage our viewers in the most positive way,” said Miranda Barry, Sesame Workshop’s executive VP of creative. “In this instance, we’ve taken some of our most beloved Muppets and paired them up with age-appropriate curricular goals that create an in-depth and fun-filled learning experience for young children and their families.”
